Trusted Counsel in U.S. Antitrust and International Matters

Our offices are located in Washington, D.C., where we are able to provide representation for litigation, transactions, and other antitrust and international legal matters, regardless of where they arise. If you would like to know more about our experience or capabilities, we invite you to get in touch.

With almost 30 years as a specialized, boutique law firm, we are known as the go-to counsel for companies and law firms throughout the United States and worldwide on antitrust, international jurisdiction, and related matters. We have broad sector-specific experience and take a non-leveraged, highly efficient approach to solving legal problems and cases, allowing us to bring immediate value to our clients. As a result, we have worked with many of the largest companies and law firms around the globe, and we routinely represent clients in large-scale litigation and transactions involving complex antitrust and/or jurisdictional issues.

We are frequently engaged to handle matters requiring substantial knowledge and judgment regarding the application and enforcement of competition laws in the U.S. and abroad. Our attorneys regularly appear before U.S. antitrust enforcement agencies, other domestic and international regulatory agencies, state and federal courts, and international tribunals. Our attorneys also advise clients before, during, and after negotiations for mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions—relying on their extensive experience to help company executives and deal counsel make informed and strategic decisions regarding competition-related matters.

Practice Areas

We advise clients on complex antitrust and trade practice litigation, class action litigation, government and internal investigations, cartel investigations, multi-jurisdictional merger reviews, and other matters. Our clients rely on us to handle enforcement agency actions before the Department of Justice, the Federal Trade Commission, states’ Attorneys General, and we take creative approaches in doing so to increase the chances that our clients avoid further action against them by the government.

Our international practice focuses on resolution of multi-jurisdictional disputes and on the application of U.S. law to overseas conduct. We have significant experience representing foreign clients on U.S. antitrust issues, and U.S. clients on the likely application of non-U.S. competition law. Our lawyers have written numerous amicus briefs to the U.S. Supreme Court on pending antitrust and jurisdictional questions on behalf of various clients and governments internationally.

While much of our litigation practice is focused on antitrust, trade practice, and international law, we also handle other types of business litigation for companies of all sizes. With decades of experience litigating business disputes in state and federal courts across the United States, we can take an efficient and pragmatic approach focused on achieving favorable resolutions cost-effectively and without unnecessary disruptions to our clients’ operations.
